INTRODUCTION This document describes a collection of applications that will be able to communicate with an ALSO device connected to an i2c bus. It is intended as an introduction to using ALSO. The examples are written with the Linux ALSO framework by Andrew Bridge et al. All code snippets in this document are assumed to be installed either into a CVS repository (via SVN co ): or into a source distribution (via git CD git clone ) and then compiled as described in Section 2. The examples in this document will try to minimize the need for manual tweaking, such as for configuring devices or configuring the ALSO daemon and audio drivers. However, some hardware devices and drivers may still need some configuration. The default configuration for the device files and parameters are provided, but may be tweaked to suit your own needs.
