Welcome back everyone calling all Oklahoma teachers coming up in March there will be a professional development for teachers in May all right professional development for teachers by teachers it's called elevating and celebrating effective teaching and teachers quite a mouthful there yes joining us now our instructional coaches Carrie Milan and Mr. Gerber carry both of you weapon thank you so much for having you corrected us there it's in May this no twelfth and thirteenth ok and so tell us about this event what is it exactly ok elevating and celebrating effective teaching and teachers which is why we shorten it to ESET to ok that's easier to say yes much easier to say is a convening that is sponsored by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation I had the pleasure and honor of serving on the teacher Advisory Council for the gates' foundation for many years and if you are on that council you are eligible to write a grant to host this regional convening and so this is the second year I've written the grant and have been awarded the funds to put on this convening for 350 northeast Oklahoma educators that's a lot so what can people expect when they attend this time, so we're going to be having two night or two days will be there Friday night from about six to nine during that time we'll have some keynote speakers hopefully some entertainment for them some great food will also start our breakout sessions and our colleague circles where they'll be able to collaborate with their colleagues around a problem of practice and really come up with some solutions that are not only going to work in their classrooms but also will help to advance education in our state both very important things absolutely and if somebody wanted to attend this what can I do they can go to our website which are you ready true ok which is a bi T dot LY /e set to ok 17 all right we'll try to put that on our website to you and find it there excellent and this again is in may remind us the days again, and we're going to be in 13th, and it is probably the best professional development opportunity for teachers in this state to attend they'll walk away not only with some good information to take back to their classrooms but a perfect chance to not just collaborate with people in your own district but collaborate with people within the state share ideas you know each other networking at the current moment we have 16 districts represented Wow and a lot of those districts folks are the ones coming in and doing the PD, so this is not just a Tulsa Public thing although we both work for Tulsa Public Schools they'll be evolved as well yeah absolutely very much in support of this effort, but we really need to get the word out to northeast Oklahoma educators to get online and apply to attend we're putting it out there now Kari Mr. thank you so much for joining us I'm I truly appreciate the opportunity thank you right Apple sent it over to you.
