The following “engine” can also be considered an engine component. “Voltage regulator” (see also the Glossary) means any part which regulates a vehicle's electric motor. 1.3 Scope of application The regulations apply to vehicles built from the model year of 1992 onwards (see Annex A: Directive 1991/92/EC for reference). 1.
