After the evaluation, parents are encouraged to write a letter in which, in addition to providing a full description of your child's progress, they may also raise any questions you may have. It is the responsibility of the IEP team to keep the evaluation brief and to address as many questions as possible. The evaluation must include evaluation, review, assessment or remedial reading and writing, and presentation of information in a comprehensible and timely manner. Please take reasonable, effective steps to encourage your child's participation in school in a manner that is consistent with their Individualized Education Plan. You have a right to review and have your child's IEP updated as applicable as well as to request a meeting with the team to discuss how your child's Individualized Education Plan is being implemented. If you wish to update or request a meeting with your child's IEP team, please email your written request, which includes your child's IEP number, to the IEP Coordinator.
