Candidates for the Professional must meet an additional test to determine a CCC Level I status and then a Level II status and finally a Level III Status. Once Certified Case Managers reach Level I, they must continue on to obtain Level II status and then earn the Level III status. All Level III CCM certifications are valid for a maximum of 12 years and may be extended to an additional 12 years after a 2-year extension. Certification is valid for: • 4-year CCM program • 7-year CCM program. The CCM Program can be completed by anyone holding either a high school diploma or GED. The CCM program is available at participating colleges, colleges of applied arts and sciences and other accredited universities, colleges and special-interest schools, at community colleges and at professional training schools (through the Community College of San Francisco, or the San Francisco School for Community Service).
