How many days rest are required after an endoscopy?
Your procedure will be canceled if you do no have a ride. It is recommended that you do not go back to work, do any strenuous exercise, drive, or sign any legal documents for 24 hours after the procedure. If you are taking any anti-coagulant medication (i.e., Coumadin, Heparin), please be sure to notify your doctor.

NO food or drink after midnight the night before your test. You will be sedated for the test and must have someone to drive you home. DO NOT take any aspirin or anti-inflammatory drugs (ex. ibuprofen, aleve, naproxen) for 4 days prior to your exam.
