While on probation, you are unable to register to take courses. You are also prohibited from receiving ASU mail until completion of probation and any additional fees or charges incurred. This restriction is imposed for five or six years unless terminated earlier by the probation officer. Students are advised to check this list of violations at the time of application. If your probation begins any time after your Fall 2017 Spring semester or the beginning of your Fall 2018 spring term, you will be required to meet with a University counselor. A recommendation to terminate probation will be given to you. When does Student Success Plan End? It is recommended that you maintain the probation period for as long as possible before termination to reduce the chance of you becoming academically ineligible for admission in the future. Successful completion of the program requires that you complete all courses in the plan, in the same semester, and as listed. Any remaining credit for courses not taken will be applied toward the minimum graduation requirements in the Plan. Upon successful completion of the Probation Period (as well as any additional fees, charges, penalties and/or probation related actions), students will be notified by both the University and Student Success for successful completion of the plan. The probation will be recorded on student records. Students who do not attend ASU for two semester(s), or any periods, may be subject to loss of financial aid. Exceptions must be made for extenuating circumstances. Students may be required to fulfill the requirements of the Honors Program to remain on probation. Successful completion of the program would satisfy the minimum graduation requirements in the Honors Program.
