HOPE Scholarship requires a minimum 3.0 calculated HOPE GPA at each Checkpoint to maintain eligibility. Checkpoint at the end of every Spring term when the scholarship is received any term during the aid year.
Applicants must meet the HOPE scholarship requirements and the parents' or independent student's (and spouse's) adjusted gross income of $36,000 or less on IRS tax form for the appropriate year. Students may receive Aspire or GAMS, but not both.
Incoming first-year, out-of-state students with a minimum 3.6 GPA who apply for admission by December 15 of their senior year in high school will be automatically considered for the University of Tennessee Explore Scholarship Program.
