President's Volunteer Service Award The award honors this American tradition and thanks those who inspire others to engage in volunteer service by demonstrated commitment and example. The award recognizes individuals, families, and groups who achieve a certain number of service hours within a 12-month period.
The President's Volunteer Service Award is a national prize under the patronage of the President of the United States recognizing voluntary engagement.
During the meeting, we awarded 190 volunteers with the 2024 President's Volunteer Service Award. This year's honorees are Experience Corps volunteers from six states who work with seven community-based program partners.
To receive a Gold, Silver, or Bronze President's Volunteer Service Award, you must be a U.S. citizen or US Permanent Resident and have completed your service within the last twelve months.
Since 1983, the Governor's Volunteer Award program provides an easy way to honor the dedicated people who volunteer their time and talent to help an agency or organization deliver on its mission. There is no review process at the state level to decide who does or does not get an award.
Grade Point Average: Students are to earn a grade point average of 90 on a 100 point scale, (an A on a letter scale or a 3.5 on a 4.0 scale). When computing grade point averages at the respective award level, only the years at that level are to be included through the fall semester of the exiting grade.
