Every two years, you must complete the necessary continuing education courses and pay a bi-annual fee to the DBPR to maintain your license in good standing. This ensures that your knowledge stays up to date, and you remain compliant with Florida real estate laws.
Commission Rule 58A .1702 dictates that every NC broker must take 8 hours of CE each year to maintain active license status (or to maintain eligibility for active status). The 8 hours must be comprised of an Update course (either GENUP or BICUP) and one Commission-approved elective.
12 credit hours per two-year cycle, including: One three-hour mandatory course approved by the Commission concerning current real estate and fair housing legislation, licensing laws and regulations (NOTE: Any course that is noted as meeting the mandatory requirement for that year will fulfill the requirement.); and.
Real Estate Licensees are required to complete 14-hours of approved Continuing Education courses and end of course exams (distance Education Courses only). Unlike the Pre and Post Licensure course content, the Continuing Education requirements for Sales Associates, Brokers and Broker Associates are identical.
License holders must meet Continuing Education (CE) requirements during each two- year license period. CE must include 4 hours of Legal Update I, 4 hours of Legal Update II, 3 hours of Contract-Related coursework, and 7 hours of elective CE courses for a total of 18 hours.
24 contact hours are required for the licensure cycle, including: 16 general hours. Two (2) hours of Prevention of Medical Errors. Two (2) hours of Florida Laws & Rules. Two (2) hours of Human Trafficking must be completed for every renewal period. Two (2) hours of Impairment in the Workplace - every other renewal period.
Before midnight EST on the expiration date, you will need to complete the following requirements to renew your license: Complete Post License Education, if required, for Initial Renewals; Complete Continuing Education for Current licensees, if required; and. Pay Renewal Fee.
To renew your Florida real estate license, you must complete 14 hours of continuing education every two years. This includes: 3 hours of Core Law to stay updated on legal changes and compliance requirements. 3 hours of Business Ethics to reinforce ethical practices.
