While Georgetown College's Housing Policy states that pets (with the exception of fish) are not permitted in Georgetown College student housing, the College will allow exceptions to the no-pet policy and permit Emotional Support Animals (as defined by the Fair Housing Act) to qualified students with disabilities.
All students will be assessed a $200 deposit that will be refunded, minus any damages, after the close of the last semester they occupy campus housing. Room fees include: all utilities (electric, gas, water, heat and AC) and wireless internet.
On-campus housing is required and thus guaranteed for all full-time freshmen, sophomore and junior students. Senior students may apply for a fourth year of on campus housing during the Eligibility process in the fall semester.
Pets are not permitted in Columbia Residential. Service and assistance animals must be approved by the Office of Disability Services (students) or Office of Human Resources (faculty, staff and postdocs) before being allowed into housing.
Animals are generally not permitted in University buildings with some exceptions, such as service and assistance animals determined to be a reasonable accommodation by the Office of Disability Services, among others.
