Prerequisites. Directed Studies has no prerequisites and is designed for students with or without any background in humanities or Western thought, ancient or modern. Students must enroll in the full slate of Directed Studies courses in both semesters of the program.
The Program Each IDE class averages about 30-35 students a year. What is our admission rate? In the past few years, we have received approximately 550 applications and have admitted about 50 students for an incoming class of 30-35 students.
