Admission to the three-story museum is free of charge, attracting over 100,000 unique visitors annually. The museum houses over 2 million specimens of insects, plants, reptiles, fish, shells, and birds, offering a diverse and extensive collection for visitors to explore.
Current BYU affiliates (BYU students, faculty/staff, BYU retirees, and their dependents) are eligible to obtain wristbands. Full time students and faculty get the wristband for free (full time is considered 12+ credits in Fall and Winter and 6+ credits in Spring/Summer combined).
Bean Museum was first opened to the public in 1978. The museum was named after the influential donation of animal trophies of the naturalist Monte Lafayette Bean who was born in 1899.

Directions. The Bean Museum is located on BYU Campus and has FREE admission.
It is $2 per child, $5 for adults for Monday and Friday night shows. For community group shows, we charge $2 per person. You can pay at the planetarium door before the show.
