LEAP's 2025 Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) Program offers summer undergraduate research experiences (SUREs) on synergistic innovations in data science and climate science. The REU Program hosts undergraduate researchers and offers a wide array of enrichment learning and networking opportunities.
Who is eligible to apply? Undergraduates (college and university students) pursuing an associate or bachelor's degree and who are U.S. citizens, permanent residents or U.S. nationals are eligible to apply. Programs require participants to be citizens of the U.S., Canada, Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom or Ireland.
F-1 and J-1 international students who wish to travel abroad to conduct research for their academic program must first consult with and get approval from their academic department. The expected duration of their time abroad should be determined prior to their departure from the U.S.
The U.S. National Science Foundation Research Experiences for Undergraduates (NSF REU) program supports intensive research by undergraduate students in any area of research funded by NSF.
