How to fill out basic life support bls

How to fill out basic life support (BLS):
01
Begin by assessing the scene. Before providing any care, ensure that the area is safe for both you and the victim. Look for any potential hazards or risks.
02
Check for responsiveness. Gently tap the victim and ask, "Are you okay?" If there is no response, make sure to activate the emergency medical services (EMS) by calling the appropriate emergency number.
03
Open the airway. Tilt the victim's head back slightly and lift the chin to open the airway. This helps ensure that the person can breathe properly.
04
Check for breathing. Look, listen, and feel for any signs of breathing. If the person is not breathing or only gasping, begin cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) immediately.
05
Perform chest compressions. Position yourself beside the victim's chest and place the heel of one hand in the center of the victim's chest. Interlock your fingers and keep your arms straight. Push directly downward, compressing the chest at least 2 inches deep and at a rate of 100-120 compressions per minute.
06
Provide rescue breaths. After 30 chest compressions, open the person's airway again and give two rescue breaths. Pinch the victim's nose tightly and put your mouth over their mouth to create a seal. Deliver two full breaths, watching for the chest to rise with each breath.
07
Continue CPR. Alternate between 30 chest compressions and 2 rescue breaths until help arrives or the person begins to show signs of life.
