Heartsaver Total - Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED provides students the highest quality training in the lifesaving skills of first aid, CPR, and use of an AED. This course empowers students to act with confidence in the event of an emergency at work, home, or in the community.
Heartsaver CPR AED Online is the eLearning portion of the Heartsaver CPR AED Blended Learning Course and teaches information needed for CPR and AED training. Upon completion of the online portion, students must complete a hands-on skills session with an AHA Instructor.
Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED: approximately 7 hours (including optional-lessons and breaks, Child-Infant). Adult only 4 to 5 hours. Heartsaver CPR AED: approximately 4 ½ hours (including optional lessons and breaks, Child-Infant). Adult only 2 hours; 1 hour Child; 1 hour Infant; Breaks 30 minutes.
Differences Between CPR and AED Training CPR: Focuses on maintaining circulation and breathing through chest compressions and rescue breaths. AED: Focuses on diagnosing and treating abnormal heart rhythms with electrical shocks.
Course Completion Card or Certificate Part 1 online: can be completed in approximately 2 ½ hours. Parts 2 and 3: hands-on skills practice and testing session with an authorized AHA Instructor; time to complete skills practice and testing sessions vary.
