How to fill out multiply up to 4-digit

How to Fill Out Multiply Up to 4-Digit:
01
Start by identifying the two numbers you want to multiply. Ensure that both numbers are within the range of four digits or less. For example, you might want to multiply 2356 by 489.
02
Write the larger number on top and the smaller number beneath it, aligned properly in a vertical column. In our example, 2356 would be written on top, and 489 would be written beneath it.
03
Start by multiplying the ones digit of the bottom number (9 in our example) with each digit of the top number (i.e., 6, 5, 3, and 2). Write down the results below the line, starting from the rightmost column. In this case, you would get four results: 54, 45, 27, and 18.
04
Once you have multiplied the ones digit with all the digits in the top number, add a zero to the right of each result and write them down in a stacked format, aligning the numbers to the right. The four results from our example would now be 540, 450, 270, and 180.
05
Repeat step 3 and 4 for the tens digit of the bottom number (which is 8 in our example). Multiply it with each digit in the top number (i.e., 6, 5, 3, and 2). Write down the results below the line, aligned properly. These results should be in a new column to the left of the previous results.
06
Just like before, add a zero to the right of each result and stack them below. In our example, we would get four new results: 4320, 3600, 2160, and 1440.
07
Repeat steps 3 to 6 for the hundreds digit and the thousands digit of the bottom number (4 and 0 in our example). Each time, ensure that the results are placed in a new column to the left.
08
Once you have completed all the steps, add up all the numbers in each column. Start from the rightmost column and move to the left, carrying over any digits if necessary.
09
The final result will be the sum of all the numbers you calculated in the previous step. In our example, the product of 2356 and 489 would be 1,152,984.
