How do I suppress Form 2210? From the Settings menu, select Options. Go to the Tax Return tab. Select Federal Tax Options from the left navigation panel. Locate the dropdown field labeled Form 2210. Use the dropdown list to change the setting from When applicable to Suppress. Click OK to save your changes.
You can avoid a penalty by filing and paying your tax by the due date. If you can't do so, you can apply for an extension of time to file or a payment plan.
The late-payment penalty for underpayment of estimated or quarter-monthly (accelerated) tax due is based on the number of days that the payment is late: If the payment is 1 – 30 days late, the late-payment penalty rate is two percent (2%).
