The proposed approach to create such a 3D model by generating ortho-image is based on the scanning of a 3D scan that is obtained through the laser-scanning machine. The technique has the advantage that the registration of the 3D data does not have the problem of being affected by the shape of 3D surface and therefore the 3D scanner can be used to make the shape of the 3D model. The main disadvantage of this technique is that after the scanning the 3D scan is not corrected properly, but instead as a result of the reconstruction of the scan the 3D model is not rendered properly on the screen. The present invention can compensate the problem by using only the 3D map from 3D scanner as output file.
