Reserve Your Tour White House tour requests should be made through your Member of Congress, which may be submitted 7 – 90 days in advance of the requested tour date. Tours are generally available 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Due to security concerns, visitors must go through a background check and screening process before being allowed into the White House. The tours typically last around 45 minutes to an hour, and provide visitors with an opportunity to see the public areas of the White House, including the State Rooms and the East Wing.
All information must exactly match the form of identification presented upon arrival. If the information does not match the government-issued ID presented, guests will be subject to delayed or denied entry. Please note that as of May 7, 2025, guests must be REAL ID compliant to visit the White House.
Requests for the White House tour must be submitted through your Member of Congress in either the House or Senate.
