How many language levels are there? There are six levels of language proficiency (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2) according to the CEFR scale. They are grouped into three broader levels: A1-A2 (Basic User), B1-B2 (Independent User), and C1-C2 (Proficient User).

A2 Key is the lowest level General English exam in the Cambridge Qualifications range. It shows that you can communicate in basic English in everyday situations. A2 Key for Schools is at the same level as A2 Key and leads to exactly the same internationally accepted certificate.
