In order to obtain a USTA ranking one must play and win matches in sanctioned USTA singles and doubles tournaments. USTA tournaments consist of Levels 1-7, 1 being the strongest and 7 being entry level tournaments. 100% of the singles ranking points from a players' 6 best Junior Ranking Tournaments.
According to USTA standards, 6.0 and above is Professional/Semi-pro level, with 7.0 being world class. So REALLY GOOD.
Participants in USTA tournaments compete at seven different levels, ranging from Level 7 (Beginner/Intermediate) to Level 1 (National Championships). Level 1-3 National events are included on the USTA National Adult Schedule and are sanctioned by the USTA National Office.
