So here the equipment has laid out for our experiment we've got a bucket for waste test tube rack with four test tubes digital timer Petra dish labeled P contending for potato chips white tile marker pen blend forceps scalpel and a ten millimeter syringe beaker with a lid containing the hydrogen peroxide paper towels safety goggles because a hydrogen peroxide is corrosive and a bucket containing water for washing up once you've read these instructions and the invigilator says that you're allowed to open your paper open the paper and read about the experiment understand it then we've got a set of instructions pictorial and typed make sure you read and understand these to begin with we're going to be cutting our potatoes to the two different lengths as per the instructions, so I labeled my white tile a B C and D for each of the four different chips next I take the tips these are already cut to four centimeters in length so the first one are just placed by a will measure it just to make sure and cut it if appropriate I take the second one which is again measured you see that it is in fact four centimeters long, but we need to cut this in half for B, so we measure two centimeters and recur put that next to B and then work on that next piece of chip to produce C and D now place these back into the Betty dish while we start the next part so here are the labeled test tubes a B C and D nice and large and clear remembering to be careful with the hydrogen peroxide we use the 10 cubic centimeter syringe to put 25 cubic centimeters of hydrogen peroxide into test tube an isn't very accurate would be much better using a graduated measuring cylinder we take chit an out of the Petra dish pick it up with our forceps drop it into the hydrogen peroxide and start the stopwatch you can see the hydrogen peroxide been broken down to water and oxygen bubbles this causes the chip to rise we stop the stopwatch when it hits the top, and we record the time taken is 24 seconds now we repeat the process that should be dropped it in start stopwatch wait for it to rise to the surface take the time and record it 24 seconds chip see we drop it in we can see it bubbling its bouncing around the bottom so if bubbles are being knocked off, so it's not necessarily rising as fast as we would think eventually it rises we record the time 1 minute 46 2d we repeat the process again levels are being knocked off, so it doesn't rise as fast as we'd expect when it does stop the clock record the time 1 minute 7 seconds here is results are recorded them on to my tile because I've got time left I repeat my results get a 2nd and 3rd set to make the results much more reliable as you can see the results for a bit all over the place, but those are our results and that's it for the prey not a lot — that really anybody should be able to do this right prepare the space below to record your results in Cambridge speak that means draw a table we've already pretty much done that by drawing our results onto...
