Instructions and Help about govpaynet form
Hi, my name is Patrick Finnegan, and I'm an attorney with the Muskegon County Family Court. The reason I am speaking to you today is to talk about how you can make payments on your court ordered restitution and child support obligations. Essentially there are three ways you can make your payments to the Muskegon County Circuit Court. It can be by mail, you can make them online, or you can always make them in person. If you wish to make a payment by mail, you can do so by using a personal check, a certified check or a money order. If the payment is going toward a child support or spousal support obligation then it must go to the Michigan State Disbursement Unit in Lansing. Your personal check or your money order can be mailed to the MISDO post office box. That's MISDO, PO Box 30351. That's in Lansing Michigan. 48909. Be sure that you write your case number on the check! If you're making your payment by mail for a juvenile case or a court ordered restitution payment, then your check or money order can be mailed to the Muskegon County Circuit Court Collections office. That's Circuit Court Collections. Care of the Muskegon County Hall of Justice. 990 East Terrace Street, the third floor here in Muskegon, Michigan. 49442. Again, make sure that you put your case number on your check. If you're going to be making your payments online, you can make those payments for court ordered child support or spousal support payments through the Michigan State Disbursement unit as well. Their website is at MISDU.com. There you can follow the prompts to make your payments using American Express Card, a Mastercard, or your Discover Card. For Circuit Court restitution payments please go to govpaynet.com. There you can use the appropriate payment location code for the type of case that you're going to make a payment on. Again you can always make your payments in person by coming to the Muskegon County Hall of Justice, up on the third floor. There's a payment window on the North end of the building. There you can meet with someone, every day, Monday through Friday. 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Thank you for your time and your attention. I hope this has helped you to make your court ordered payments.
