This is Dylan with rock crawl and jeeps, and today I'm going to show you how to install the riffraff diesel FIX so what is the FIX it stands for fuel rail crossover, and it was designed to connect both heads together on the 7/3 power stroke and allow air a different return path instead of it being forced through the injectors this kit eliminates air from the fuel system and will make the truck run smoother quieter and have better throttle response it should also prolong the life of the injectors as well if you haven't already done so go ahead and remove the power stroke cover located on top of the high pressure oil pump it's held on by two 13 millimeter nuts located here and here drain the fuel bowl by turning the yellow lever located on the back side of the housing disconnect the return line located on the right side of the fuel bowl using a 5/8 line wrench this not here with the return line disconnected remove the two bolts holding the fuel pressure regulator in place with a t25 Torn bit socket use caution while removing the regulator so the spring and plunger do not get lost we're going to be loosening this bolt here in this bolt here the riffraff FIX replaces the fuel pressure regulator that was just removed it's a very tight fit, so you're going to need to loosen the mounting bolts for the fuel bowl located on the front of the high-pressure oil pump the two mounting bolts require a 13 millimeter socket in order to gain access push the hose coming off the water pump out of the way and disconnect this sensor wiring here using a 9/16 wrench and a 1-inch deep well socket remove the exhaust back pressure sensor to gain access to the left mounting bolt with the sensor removed use a 13 millimeter socket to loosen the mounting bolts for the fuel bowl it's not necessary to remove them completely as we need about 3/4 of an inch plate to fit the FIX in place before installing the FIX make sure to add the o-ring to the block and replace the fuel sleeve on the return line choose the spring that best suits your truck's needs I'm using the recommended gold spring from riffraff however depending on your modifications you may need to raise or lower the fuel pressure using the supplied hardware and a 5/32 Allen key bolt the riffraff FIX in place I use the zip tie to keep the return line out of the way using the five baseline wrench reattach the return line to the FIX block using a 13 millimeter socket retighten the mounting bolts for the fuel bowl with the FIX in place in the fuel bowl remounted it's time to connect the fuel lines to the engine to the left of the high-pressure oil pump remove the small square fitting use a 9/32 pipe plug socket or a 5/16 eight-point socket after removing the factory plug use a 13 millimeter wrench to tighten the supplied one ace MPT fitting use thread sealant before final installation using a 15 millimeter wrench connect the shorter of the two return lines to the fitting we just installed using a large flat-head screwdriver...
