How to fill out c p r

How to fill out C P R:
01
Check for responsiveness: Before starting CPR, it is crucial to determine whether the person is responsive or not. Shake them gently and ask if they are okay. If there is no response, it is time to initiate CPR.
02
Call for help: Immediately call for emergency medical services or ask someone nearby to do so. Time is of the essence in a cardiac arrest situation, so it is important to get professional help as soon as possible.
03
Position the person: Lay the person flat on their back on a firm surface. Ensure that the area around them is clear and safe.
04
Open the airway: Tilt the person's head back gently while lifting their chin. This maneuver helps to open the airway, allowing for easier breathing.
05
Check for breathing: Look, listen, and feel for any signs of breathing. You should observe the person's chest for any movements, listen for sounds of breathing, and feel for air coming out of their mouth.
06
Perform chest compressions: If the person is not breathing or only gasping, it is time to start chest compressions. Place the heel of one hand on the center of the person's chest (between their nipples) and place the other hand on top. Interlock your fingers and position yourself directly above the person's chest. Push hard and fast, aiming for a rate of around 100-120 compressions per minute. Allow the chest to fully recoil between compressions.
07
Administer rescue breaths: After 30 compressions, provide two rescue breaths. Pinch the person's nose closed, make a tight seal over their mouth with your mouth, and give two full breaths. Each breath should make the person's chest rise visibly.
08
Continue cycles: Repeat the cycle of 30 compressions followed by two rescue breaths until professional help arrives or the person starts showing signs of life.
09
Regularly check for signs of life: Intermittently check for signs of life, such as normal breathing, movement, or coughing. If the person starts breathing on their own, turn them onto their side in the recovery position and wait for medical professionals to take over.
Who needs CPR:
01
Individuals in cardiac arrest: CPR is crucial for individuals experiencing cardiac arrest, where their heart has stopped beating effectively. Prompt initiation of CPR can increase the chances of survival until professional help arrives.
02
Bystanders: It is important for bystanders witnessing a cardiac arrest to know how to perform CPR. Their immediate action can make a significant difference in saving someone's life before medical assistance arrives.
03
Healthcare professionals: CPR is a fundamental skill for healthcare professionals, as they are often the first responders in emergency situations. Knowledge and proficiency in CPR can greatly enhance their ability to provide critical care when needed.
Remember, proper CPR training and certification are recommended to ensure that you are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform CPR effectively and responsibly.
