How to fill out types of blood pressure

01
Step 1: Start by gathering the necessary materials for measuring blood pressure, which include a blood pressure monitor, a stethoscope, and a pen and paper to record the readings.
02
Step 2: Sit in a comfortable and quiet environment, ensuring proper arm support. Rest your arm on a table or surface with the palm facing up and the elbow slightly bent.
03
Step 3: Put on the blood pressure cuff around your upper arm. The bottom edge of the cuff should be about 1 inch above the bend of your elbow.
04
Step 4: Locate your brachial artery, which is on the inside of your arm, just below the elbow crease. Place the stethoscope bell over the artery.
05
Step 5: Inflate the cuff by squeezing the bulb until the pressure gauge reads about 30 points higher than your normal systolic pressure. Then, slowly release the pressure by turning the small valve on the bulb counterclockwise.
06
Step 6: Listen for the first thumping sound or heartbeat through the stethoscope. This is your systolic pressure. Note the value on the pressure gauge at this point.
07
Step 7: Continue listening for the disappearance of the thumping sound. Once the sound is no longer audible, note the value on the pressure gauge. This is your diastolic pressure.
08
Step 8: Record both the systolic and diastolic pressure readings, along with the date and time, on your paper or in a mobile app if available.
09
Step 9: Repeat the process two more times to ensure accurate readings. Take note if the readings are consistently high or low, as it may indicate a need for medical attention.
10
Step 10: Consult your healthcare provider if you have any concerns or if your blood pressure readings consistently fall outside the normal range.
