Proceed to Part III and provide details of any capital gain or loss from the sale of collectibles or section 1256 contracts.

If applicable, fill out Part IV for any unrecaptured section 1250 gain.

Enter the total capital gain or loss on line 19 and carry it over to Form 1041, Schedule I, line 6.

Finally, sign and date Schedule D before attaching it to the estate or trust's Form 1041 tax return.
