How to fill out blood?

01
First, sanitize your hands thoroughly using soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Alternatively, you can use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer to kill any bacteria or germs on your hands.
02
Use a sterile needle and syringe to draw blood from the patient. Make sure the equipment is clean and properly assembled before proceeding.
03
Identify the appropriate vein to draw blood from. The most common veins used for blood collection are located in the inner elbow region, but other sites like the back of the hand or the wrist can also be used.
04
Apply a tourniquet above the venipuncture site, this will help to dilate the vein and make it easier to locate and access.
05
Cleanse the selected area with an antiseptic solution to prevent infection. Typically, a 70% isopropyl alcohol pad is used for this purpose.
06
Once the area is dry, carefully insert the needle into the vein at a 15 to 30-degree angle. You should feel a slight "pop" as the needle penetrates the vein.
07
Slowly pull back on the plunger to collect the desired amount of blood. The amount needed will depend on the specific test or purpose for which the blood is being drawn.
08
Once the blood has been collected, release the tourniquet and withdraw the needle from the vein. Apply gentle pressure to the puncture site using a cotton ball or sterile gauze to promote clotting.
09
Dispose of the used needle in a sharps container to ensure safe disposal.

Who needs blood?

01
Patients undergoing surgeries or medical procedures that result in significant blood loss may require blood transfusions to replace the lost blood and restore their blood volume.
02
Individuals with certain medical conditions such as anemia, bleeding disorders, or cancer may need blood transfusions to improve their overall health and well-being.
03
Trauma victims who have suffered severe injuries leading to blood loss may require immediate blood transfusions to stabilize their condition and prevent further complications.
04
Blood transfusions are also crucial for patients with chronic diseases like sickle cell disease or thalassemia, as these conditions can cause severe anemia or inadequate oxygen delivery.
05
Additionally, premature infants often require blood transfusions due to their underdeveloped organs and immature blood systems.
It is important to note that blood transfusions must be prescribed by a healthcare professional and should only be administered when necessary and appropriate for the patient's specific condition.
