General Membership: A general member is a soror who has earned a baccalaureate, graduate, or professional degree in an accredited two, three, or four-year senior college or university. The general member is an active soror who is not a member of a local chapter.
You must have been a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. ® for at least 25 years to qualify for Life Membership. You must have been financially active for at least 10 or 50 years prior to applying for Life Membership, or an active Diamond Soror (75 year member).
The reactivation fee includes current dues and Educational Advancement Foundation (EAF) dues ($10.00). COIP assessment is a ONE-TIME $200.00 fee imposed to ALL financially active sorors initiated after July 31, 1943. Active membership expires December 31,2023. Per capita is not pro-rated.
