However, these two protocols are often at odds when two mobile stations have no common access points (AP). This paper explores these differences by analyzing the impact of such a scenario as the case of an MS station facing two APs. We present a model which determines both the optimal number of MS base stations, the number of APs required for a successful handover, and the optimal number of devices that are active at any given time for MS handover. These results show that MS base stations can maintain coexistence with both macro diversity and fast base station switching at rates up to four times faster than the state-of-the-art (1.25 ms max throughput over three APs). Keywords: coexistence, handover 1. Introduction 1.1. IEEE 802.16 and IEEE 802.16-2012 Communication Model The IEEE 802.16-2012 communication model [Gartner, 2007] is a model that describes communications on a wireless link as a function of a range and channel width. The communication channel length of Wi-Fi is 2.4 GHz [RFC3443], with a max channel width of 2.3 GHz, allowing channels up to 14 MHz wide, which is the maximum for 802.11B/G. This is in stark contrast to the communication mode of 802.11A/G, with channel width and max channel width that are limited to 15 MHz wide [IEEE 802.11-2013]. The IEEE 802.16-2012 model does not distinguish between base station, base station to base station (BSB), mobile and mobile to base station (MRS) communications [Bauer & Kjelgaard, 2012]. The IEEE 802.16-2012 communication model defines a 2-way, 1-wire (G) communication link between a pair of wireless station antennas and an access point (AP) [Gartner, 2007]. When an unlicensed radio signal is used for this communication channel, the IEEE 802.16-2012 communication model is used. One of the benefits of this model is it is a one-wire connection, meaning that if the link is terminated (terminated), the device is terminated, even if the link is used to transmit non-routed wireless packets. One of the limitations of this model is its limited data rates. While the IEEE 802.16-2012 communication model works well for simple network topologies, in the real world there are more than 14.

Enhanced Fast Base Station refers to a high-speed mobile communication station that is equipped with advanced technological features to enhance the speed and efficiency of wireless communication.
The filing of an enhanced fast base station is typically required by telecommunications companies or any entities that own and operate these stations.
To fill out an enhanced fast base station filing, you need to gather the necessary information about the station, such as its location, technical specifications, and ownership details. Then, you can usually submit the filing electronically through the designated regulatory authority's online portal.
The purpose of an enhanced fast base station is to provide improved mobile communication services, such as faster data transfer rates, increased network capacity, and better signal coverage, to support the growing demands of wireless communication users.
The information that must be reported on an enhanced fast base station includes its geographical coordinates, antenna specifications, transmission power, frequency bands used, as well as the name and contact details of the operator.
The deadline to file an enhanced fast base station in 2023 may vary depending on the regulatory authority or specific jurisdiction. It is advisable to consult the relevant regulations or contact the authority directly for the exact deadline.
The penalty for the late filing of an enhanced fast base station can vary depending on the jurisdiction and applicable regulations. It may include monetary fines or other consequences determined by the regulatory authority responsible for overseeing the filing process.
