Greenstone 3 will also allow for the manipulation and editing of the data held in the data store. The data will also be retrievable using a user-defined query language, and search capabilities will be supported if the query is provided in the form of a user-defined format. Greenstone 3 will utilize a distributed, distributed key-value store to provide access control. Key-values will be created on-demand, from a user-defined, reusable key-value store configuration. Key-values will also provide access control to prevent use of a key-value without providing proof of ownership. Greenstone 3 will be able to be used in conjunction with various other tools, such as the Graphed, WebDAV, and the DLI. It will also utilize the Graphed via its interface to integrate with various other GIS tools via the Grapher-GIS interface and utilize the Graphed via its interface to integrate with third party GIS tools. Greenstone 3 will be able to be used in conjunction with the DLI, the RDM, the Metadata RDM (RDM4) in order to provide a fully integrated GIS solution. Greenstone 3 will allow the integration of geospatial data obtained from other sources using either the RDM or by using the RDM's internal mapping interface. One example of such a use is the use of multiple remote locations to provide geographic information in the form of a Google-based location.
