On the line labeled “Pay to the Order of,” write the name of the person or company you wish to pay.

On the line labeled “$,” write the dollar amount that you want to pay.

Below the dollar amount, write the same amount in words. For example, if you are paying $100, write 'One hundred dollars' on the line marked 'Dollars'.

If there is a space for a memo or note, you can add a description or purpose for the payment.

Finally, sign the cheque in the bottom right corner, using the same name that you wrote on the line labeled “Pay to the Order of.”
