Receive your Employment Authorization Document (EAD) if approved.

Begin your STEM OPT employment within 60 days of receiving the EAD.

Who needs stem optional practical training?

STEM Optional Practical Training (OPT) is available to F-1 students who have completed a degree in a qualifying STEM field.
