Judges will rate the dishes on a scale of 1, being inedible, to 10, being perfect. Additional"Taste" considerations will be based on the balance of flavors and ingredients used by the cook. Judges are instructed to NOT use personal bias when it comes to spicy or savory preferences.
Only wood, wood pellet or charcoal grills are permitted. Propane or electric starters are permitted. NO deep frying or parboiling allowed. No holes or pits in the ground are allowed.
Entries are judged on appearance, taste, and tenderness, and the scoring system is from 1 to 9 with 9 being excellent, 8 very good, 7 above average, 6 average, 5 below average, 4 poor, 3 bad, and 2 inedible.
