NOAA Sends Chapter a 300,000 Gift (PDF)
July 10, 2010 — The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) sent the Gainesville, Florida chapter of the Military Officers Association of America (NOAA) a 300,000 gift.
Members and fellow officers were proud to receive the gift and congratulate this year's chapter leaders on their accomplishments and successful achievements.
NOAA has not only made great progress in the organization of the NOAA chapter but also in the recruitment of new members. The chapter has been able to support all the officers and support staff with the annual “Annual Conference.” The conference and activities are important to the chapter officers, especially, because the conference serves as a meeting for active and former chapter officers, their families, former and prospective members, and the public interested in the Naval aviators, sea life research projects, and the members of marine science.

The NOAA chapter has continued to improve the physical facilities at the Fisher House, provide an outdoor pool for members and their families to go to on weekends and the annual Fourth of July “Kiss 'n Boogie” party. NOAA also has provided free or low-cost computer, printer, fax and copier services.
Chapter officers also participated in the SeaWorld Sea Life Sanctuary and Ocean Discovery Adventure program. These programs gave members and their families an opportunity to see dolphins, whales and many of our Sea Life. The SeaWorld program is designed for kids 12 and up.
