Instructions and Help about hh 66 vinyl cement
This video is presented by sail rite hi I'm Matt grant from sail rite and I want to talk to you about hh-60 Six's vinyl cement product this is a fantastic product that chemically bonds vinyl and vinyl laminated fabrics together in fact the bond is so good that you really don't need to sew the seams when you're using it with the proper products that sail rite we've highly recommended for the use with shelter-rite vinyl fabric shelter-rite which is I've got a piece of it here in front of me that we're making crane covers out of is it in this case it's a polyester 18 ounce material if you think of a truck tarp material that's what it is its pretty much bulletproof type vinyl laminated material or vinyl coated material in this case, and we know that hh-60 six bonds is extremely well to this material, but today we're not going to show you so much how to use it as a bonding agent to create seams we're going to show you a secondary purpose of this product which most people don't know about and that is that hh-60 six is the perfect seam sealer we can paint it right on sewn seams, and it will plug the stick the needle holes and make those seams entirely waterproof so if you have a vinyl product that is sewn, and you need to waterproof the stitches the stitch seams consider using hh-60 six cement all eighty-eight sixty-six products from sail rite come with an applicator brush and so that we don't get some puddling I'm going to clear a little of that and basically all you do is start coating the seams, and you can coat the seams you don't have to be super accurate with your coding because the product will dry down and dry clear, and we just go along the seams and basically fill the needle holes, so it's a quick process and very effective I also want to point out that one of the things that we did here at sail rite to test this is we actually took some sample shelter-rite material, and we stitch the seam much like we have here we coded the seam we wanted to make absolutely certain for our customers that even though it is recommended for seam sealing that the adhesive won't reactivate or go soft after it's been heated, so we actually did an oven test where we put the sample after being coated in an oven heated it up to several hundred degrees and then pulled it out and then tried to stick another layer of shelter right on top of it to make sure that it didn't bond to itself again and once the stuff is cured you don't have to worry about ambient temperatures it's not going to become an adhesive again it gets cured it's done it'll seal the seams, and it won't cause any other problems, so I highly recommend hh-60 six cement if you have additional questions don't hesitate to give us a call thanks for purchasing from sail rite
