If a nominee is not accepted by March 9, 2012, and wishes to reapply, he or she is asked to complete a second application and email it with a cover letter addressed to the Carleton Fellowship Committee Chair. This second application should refer specifically to the new position for Fellowship purposes. The Carleton Student Fellowship Committee reserves the right to reject any candidate for Fellowship consideration if he or she is not worthy of the Fellowship. The criteria for selection will be explained soon in the Faculty Club, but you should know that the nominee must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited university in the United States (e.g., any non-collegiate school), a strong record of research and/or teaching, and outstanding evidence of the ability to successfully complete the required programs of study. This includes demonstrating potential for research excellence in plant pathology, the ability to teach in a professional environment, and a demonstrated commitment to excellence as a student and as a member of the faculty.
