Questions & answers

Below is a list of the most common customer questions.
If you can’t find an answer to your question, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
Ultrasonic (UT) ILI PIG's measure metal loss, corrosion, cracking, and gouges in a pipeline by direct measurement of ultrasonic pressure waves inside the pipe wall. These waves provide information that can be used to measure remaining wall thickness or detect and size cracking.
Pressure testing confirms the strength and leak resistance of pipes and other components under pressure. By simulating the conditions these items will face during normal operation and pushing them to their limits, engineers and safety inspectors can identify potential weaknesses, such as leaks.
Its world-class inspection team provides the entire inspection service spectrum for onshore and offshore pipelines worldwide. The full range of services includes cleaning, geometry and deformation inspection, metal loss and crack inspection, data analysis and pipeline integrity assessment.
Pressure vessel inspections can refer to an inspection of the vessel's condition externally, internally, or both. In these inspections, inspectors may: Collect visual data regarding the condition of the vessel, including the condition of insulation, welds, joints, or structural connections.
Piping inspectors visually assess the external surface and accessible internal components for visible defects, anomalies, or signs of damage. This is the initial step in pipeline inspection to determine the need for further testing or maintenance actions.
The hydrostatic test pressure at any point in the piping system shall not be less than 1.5 times the design pressure, but shall not exceed the maximum allowable test pressure of any non-isolated component, nor shall it exceed the limits of calculated stresses due to occasional loads.
In a pressure test, a test medium (gas or liquid) inside the pipeline is pressurized by the use of pumps or compressors to a pressure that is greater than the normal operating pressure of the pipeline. This test pressure is held for a number of hours to ensure there are no leaks in the pipeline.
Ultrasonic testing is performed on pipelines to assess any issues like cracks, corrosion, or changes in wall thickness. The testing uses equipment emitting high-frequency sound waves into the pipeline and analyzes the waves that bounce back as a sign of issues.
