Questions & Answers

Below is a list of the most common customer questions. If you can’t find an answer to your question, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
In the Preview app on your Mac, open a PDF or image. Do one of the following, depending on your previous actions in the file: Choose File > Revert To > Previous Save [date, time]. Choose File > Revert To > Last Saved [date, time].
In the editing toolbar, click on the 'Remove Symbol' icon. It usually looks like a small eraser or a symbol with a line through it. With the 'Remove Symbol' tool selected, click on the symbol or element you want to remove from the PDF. The tool will automatically erase the selected symbol and any associated content.
When you see unreadable gibberish symbols as shown in the screenshot below, you are likely dealing with a corrupted PDF file. More specifically, your PDF document is probably missing important information about font character mapping. The reason for this can be that the document was produced incorrectly.
Delete a page from a PDF: Choose View > Thumbnails or View > Contact Sheet, select the page or pages to delete, then press the Delete key on your keyboard (or choose Edit > Delete).
To turn off highlighting, click the highlight tool again. Remove a highlight, an underline, or a strikethrough: Control-click the text, then choose Remove item from the shortcut menu.
