Press Alt+F9 to turn off field codes currently on the page. To turn off a field code for a specific field, click on the field and press Shift+F9 instead. Click the Office button and select "Word Options" to turn off field codes by default. Select the "Advanced" tab in the "Word Options" window.
Open the Word document. Press CTRL+A on your keyboard to select all the text within the document. Right-click, then click Toggle Field Codes. Press CTRL+SHIFT+F9 on your keyboard. This will remove the field codes, replacing them with the text they contained. Save the document.
The fastest way to do this is to select all text with CTRL + A and then press CTRL + SHIFT + F9 to remove all field codes. To remove field codes located in headers and footers (e.g. page numbers) you will have to click these separately and repeat the procedure.
Highlight the citation in your Word document that you would like to delete. A window will pop-up with a listing of the citations you have entered into your manuscript so far. The citation you highlighted will be highlighted blue. Select the Edit Reference tab next to your citation and choose Remove Citation.

Open Word, click the "Orb", select "Word Options", go to "Advanced", scroll to the "Show Document Content" section, and uncheck the "Show field codes instead of their values" checkbox.
Locate the Date/Time field, right-click the header row (the name), and click Delete Field.
Click on Insert > Date & Time and choose your date format. If you want the date to update automatically each time you open a new Word document put a check mark in the box at the bottom right of the open dialog box next to Update Automatically. Click OK and save your document.
Click on "Forms" to bring up the toolbar. Click on the "Office" button, then go to "Word Options." Click on "Advanced" and uncheck the option to display field codes. The process is essentially the same in earlier versions of Word.
Delete a fill To delete the same fill from multiple shapes or text boxes, click the first one, and then press and hold SHIFT while you click the others. Under Drawing Tools, on the Format tab, in the Shape Styles group, click Shape Fill, and then click No Fill.
