Every officially-administered LSAT since 1991 contains four, 35-minute scored sections. 2 Logical Reasoning, 1 Reading Comprehension, and 1 Logic Games. It also includes an additional 35-minute, unscored experimental section.
The Easiest and Most Difficult Sections to Improve On Logic Games, also known as Analytical Reasoning, is the section most foreign to the typical LSAT student. It has nothing to do with the law, and is based on a puzzle format. Because the section is so unusual, most students do not know how to attack it.
With more PrepTests being available, people get more opportunity to practice the LSAT, which allows them to score higher on test day. Overall though, I think the LSAT got a little bit easier for a brief moment around 2004-2008, but now it's getting harder once again.
No month's LSAT is particularly easy or difficult." ... You'll look at my LSAT PrepTest Raw Score Conversion Charts and calculations of what it takes to get an LSAT score of 160 or 170. Using that data, you'll find that the December exam consistently has the easiest "curve," and the June exam consistently has the hardest.
The LSAT is comprised of five sections of multiple-choice questions: Logical Reasoning (two sections), Analytical Reasoning, Reading Comprehension, and an unscored Variable Section.
This means that if you're planning on taking the ACT sometime in the future, do not be worried if you see a fifth section. Know that this section is experimental and will not count towards your ACT composite score. That being said, you should treat the section seriously since it will affect future ACT test.
The SAT (as of March 2016) and SAT with Essay (as of March 2019) contain some questions that won't be used to compute student scores. These questions may appear in any section. To give students the extra time to answer more questions, the tests include a fifth section with regular and pretest questions.
ACT won't be able to fool students with this extra section, because they'll all know it doesn't count. In fact, some students may blow it off or simply not answer any questions. And we don't blame them at all.
The ACT contains four multiple-choice testsEnglish, mathematics, reading, and scienceand an optional writing test. These tests are designed to measure skills that are most important for success in postsecondary education and that are acquired in secondary education.
The LSAT breaks down into six sections, each 35 minutes long with a 15-minute break after the third section. ... For the June LSAT, reporting time is 12:30 p.m.
