Every month you send your client an invoice where you change only a few details including the date, quantities and amount. The rest of the information remains the same. Every time you make a copy of the previous invoice, delete the old information, fill it with new figures and send the new invoice as an attachment.

pdfFiller offers you an easier and less time-consuming way. Create a template and use it every time you need to issue an invoice. It takes only a few clicks to create a new document based on the template. Fill and sign it using our handy tools, and send it directly from pdfFiller.

To get started, open the document, fill in the information you want to appear in the template and create fillable fields.

Then, click the arrow near Done and select Go to MY DOCS in the drop-down menu.

In MY DOCS, select the document, click More and choose Template from the drop-down menu.

In the dialog window, press Create Template.

The letter “T” will appear on the document’s icon meaning that the document is a reusable template. To use the template, select it and choose To create Document.

Name the new document and click Create.

The newly created document will immediately open in the editor. Fill the document and send it to your client directly from pdfFiller using our handy mailing service. The template remains unchanged, you can use it again and again.

Templates allow you to save time when filling out documents with frequently-used information. For example, it is useful when you often fill an expense report, where your name or the name of your business never changes, but the address of the customer is unique to each report.

Your document will be converted into a template. Every time you open the document, you will be prompted for a new document name and a new one will be created. The template itself will remain unchanged and ready for use. If you need to change the template, simply select the template form in “My Form” page and click “Template” button. The template will be converted to a regular form. You can modify and convert it to a template later.

Convert original documents into templates by first uploading the document into “My Forms” page. Then select the “Template” button, signified by a document with the letter “T.”
