Select a File: Select a PFC file with digital signature. Enter Password: The password for the digital ID. Allow Multiple Signatures: If checked, the signature and all the other content will be added as a new revision thus not invalidating existing signatures.
Click on the signature field, or click on the Certify Document button on the Secure Tab and choose Invisible. The Sign Document dialog will be displayed. Select the Digital Signature Options and Digital Signature Appearance settings that you wish to use.
Open your PDF document. Right-click in the PDF document where you want to add the Digital signature. Select Sign Document from the right-click menu. Select Digital Signature.
Visible vs invisible signature. Applying a digital signature adds metadata on a document without modifying its content (thus without impacting its integrity). An invisible signature omits this visible marker. Both types of signature ensure the integrity of the document.
To remove your signature, right-click the signature and then choose Clear Signature.
Use the paper document method to redact a scanned file. Print out the paper document. Cut out the text that needs to be redacted. Use opaque tape or paper to cover the redacted sections. Scan the document and save it as a PDF.
Open the PDF that contains the text you want to black out. Go to the Tools menu and select the Redact tool to open the Secondary Tool Bar immediately above the PDF. It includes the Redaction Tools. Choose Mark for Redaction and select OK when prompted by the pop-up window.
Open your PDF document. Switch to Edit Mode. Drag cursor over the text you want to redact to select it. Right-click over selected text and choose Edit and then Redact from the right-click menu.
