For pdfFiller’s FAQs

Below is a list of the most common customer questions. If you can’t find an answer to your question, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
Pennsylvania child custody laws always favor an agreement that is in the best interests of the child, and in most situations, that is one in which the child has a relationship with both parents. Sole custody is rarely the preferred choice unless one parent is deemed dangerous or unfit.
Pennsylvania allows for parents to share custody of a minor child after a divorce, and in some cases, that custody is split equally, 50/50.
Child and parent communication Neither parent may interrupt phone or other electronic communication between the child and the other parent, except in an emergency or when a limit set by this plan or agreed with the other parent has been reached. Nor may they permit another person to do so.
50/50 schedules work best when: The parents live fairly close to each other, so exchanges are easier. The parents are able to communicate with each other about the child without fighting. The child is able to handle switching between parents' homes.
Primary/partial custody schedules With a 4-3 schedule, parents split time 60/40. Your child spends four days of the week with one parent and three days with the other. A common 70/30 arrangement, the every 3rd-day schedule has your child live with one parent for two days and the other parent for one day.
A 50/50 parenting schedule could be arranged in many ways, such as: Biweekly rotation - One week with one parent, and one week with the other parent. 2-2-5-5 rotation - Two days with one parent, and two days with the other parent. Then, five days back with the first parent, and five days with the other parent.
