Edit and Add Signature to PDF

Quickly edit your PDF and add your signature with ease.

What is the Signature Tool?

The signature tool allows you to edit PDF documents by adding your signature digitally. You can choose between self-signing or sending the document for signature, depending on your needs. Access the tool easily via the Signature button on the editing interface. It's important to note that signatures created using this tool are legally compliant, ensuring that your documents are valid and recognized.

How This Tool Solves Document Workflow Problems

Many professionals face fragmented tools that cause delays in their document workflow. The need for quick signatures is critical, as delays can impact productivity significantly. By utilizing the signature tool, you can streamline the process of PDF editing and ensure that documents are signed and returned promptly, enhancing overall efficiency.

Three Ways to Create a Signature

You can create a signature using three different methods: draw, type, or upload an image. Each method has its legal equivalence, meaning they are all valid for signing documents. Choosing the right method depends on your personal preference and the context in which you are signing the document.

How to Draw Your Signature

  1. 1.
Open the signature tool and select the option to draw your signature.
  2. 2.
Use your mouse, touchpad, or stylus to create your signature.
  3. 3.
Customize your signature by adjusting the thickness and color of the lines.
  4. 4.
Position your signature in the appropriate area of the document.

How to Type Your Signature

  1. 1.
Access the signature tool and select the option to type your signature.
  2. 2.
Choose from various font styles and colors to match your preference.
  3. 3.
Place the typed signature in the designated area of the PDF document.
  4. 4.
Consider the differences between typed and drawn signatures for your needs.

How to Upload a Signature Image

  1. 1.
Navigate to the signature tool and select the upload option.
  2. 2.
Ensure your signature image is in a supported format, such as PNG or JPEG.
  3. 3.
Follow the prompts to upload your signature image from your device.
  4. 4.
Adjust the placement of the uploaded signature within the document.

Adding Initials to Your Document

To add initials using the signature tool, you can choose from several methods. Ensure you place and resize your initials appropriately within the document. It's essential to be aware of the legal implications of using initials, as they can also signify agreement to the document's terms.

Saving and Reusing Your Signatures

Understanding how to save signatures is crucial for efficiency. Set default signature settings to streamline future signing processes. You can access saved signatures easily, allowing you to reuse them across multiple documents. This not only saves time but also ensures consistency in your signed documents.

Legal Validity of Signatures

The signatures created using the signature tool hold legal validity under the ESIGN and UETA acts. Each signature is accompanied by a timestamped audit trail, providing a record of when the document was signed. Additionally, signatures verified by the pdfFiller badge ensure compliance and authenticity.

Next Steps After Signing

Once you have signed the document, you can share it easily with others. Understanding how to integrate the signature process with other pdfFiller features enhances your overall document signing workflow. This approach not only simplifies sharing but also contributes to a complete digital workflow.

How Does pdfFiller Compare?

pdfFiller offers unique advantages over competitors like DocuSign, which provides robust features but can be complex for small and medium-sized businesses. Additionally, while Adobe Acrobat Sign integrates well with Adobe products, it often has a steep learning curve and may require additional software purchases. In contrast, signNow is affordable and user-friendly but lacks some advanced features and has limited integrations compared to pdfFiller.

An easy method of filling out and sending documents. Problem with sending document due to 'Bugs' in the system It took three tries to send off a document and I still do not have a confirmation that it was send nor d I have a date in which the document would be received. The concept is good as I can go to the website and complete a document and send it off. Still some bugs

The interface is reasonably intuitive… The interface is reasonably intuitive and everything works right, as far as I can tell. One note: To move a field, select and hold the symbol for move in the box just above the field, not the box itself. In other words, the symbol is the handle.

much better than trying to fill out… much better than trying to fill out some of these forms by hand or create a form from image using something like Adobe acrobat. Only problem was you should probaby do better quality control on the forms provided. I found your Chapter 7 petition package to be unusable (all or most of the checkboxes use the same variable i.e., check one and you check them all.
