A conventional signature is included in the same document; a digital signature is a separate entity. To verify a conventional signature, the recipient compares the signature with the signature on file; in digital signature, the recipient applies a verifying process to the document and signature.
Click the 'Signatures' tab and 'add new' to create an electronic signature. Choose from the menu of three different types depending on how you want to create your signature. Using this code you get a raw signature. It means that a hash value of the data was calculated and this hash value was encrypted with the private key. So to check if the data was manipulated, you just have to calculate the hash value of the data to be checked, decrypt the signature and to compare the results.
