Where are templates saved in Motion? When you save a template, the project and all associated files are saved in your /Users/username/Movies/Motion Templates/ folder on your computer, organized by template type.
FCP X: Store Custom Titles in the Library Itself. By default, when you create or modify any Final Cut Pro effect, transition, title, or generator in Motion, that file is stored in the Motion Templates folder located in your Movies folder inside your Home Directory.
