Well worth the subsription! I was a little skeptical about this program initially but I am thankful I gave it a try. It really is worth the minimal amount for a subscription. It is fairly easy to figure out. My one minor issue is how it keeps stacking your changes as recent documents, which again is very minor. I have used this personally, for our church and for work. Let's just say I am getting the best bang for my buck. Thank you for making a good and user friendly product.

Can you lock pages documents?

Open the document you wish to password protect in either Pages, Numbers, or Keynote app. Tap on the Wrench icon to access Settings. Choose Set Password, entering the password and a hint to secure the document instantly.

Can't remember pages document password?

If you lost your Document password in Pages, there is a way to recover the password but only if it's a recent Document, the system password settings are correct and most importantly, you are the System Administrator. In the Applications Icon on the Dock, open your Utilities File and click on “Keychain Access.”

What does Locked mean on pages?

What are locked pages? This is a production feature that locks the text on a particular page so that any revisions or deletions of text don't affect the numbering of any other page. For example, in a locked script you can add text to Page 3 that runs past the length of the page.

How do you change your password on pages?

In the Home Menu, click Pages. In the Pages panel, select the page with the password. Click the Settings icon next to the page's title to open Page Settings. Scroll down to Password. Enter a new password, or remove the password by highlighting the text and pressing Delete. Click Save.

If you have admin status on your computer you can change the permission to Read only in the get info window. Select the Pages document > Cmd + I (Get info) > way down change the Read and write permission to Read only.
