Amazing Customer Service While I was reviewing a couple of unauthorized charges on my PayPal account I noticed they were from PDF filler. Upon further investigation as to what PDF filler is, I realized that this was due to something a professor from a course I had taken last year had required the class to use to complete an assignment. He assured us that though we may need to put in our personal information, the service we were using would be "free". I did not realize that “free” was then turned into a renewable purchase fee. I contacted PDF filler to dispute the charges and explained what had happened. This company responded to my email with genuine kindness within a couple of hours to assist me with providing a refund upon receipt of a response providing verification information. I emailed them the information and again, within a couple of hours, I received a response that I had been refunded the fee. I appreciate how professional, considerate, and amazingly responsive this company has been- the whole process was quick and painless and I will certainly consider using PDF Filler in the future should I need such a service!!

For example, the UTF-8 encoding is associated with the Unicode char set. ... For example, UTF-8 is a variable length encoding: code points lower than 128 use a single byte, whereas higher code points take 2, 3 or 4 bytes. The UCS-2 encoding encodes all code points into sequences of two bytes (16 bits).
Unicode is a character encoding standard that has widespread acceptance. ... They store letters and other characters by assigning a number for each one. Before Unicode was invented, there were hundreds of different encoding systems for assigning these numbers.
Numbers, mathematical notation, popular symbols and characters from all languages are assigned a code point, for example, U+0041 is an English letter “A.” Below is an example of how “Computer Hope” would be written in English Unicode. A common type of Unicode is UTF-8, which utilizes 8-bit character encoding.
To insert a Unicode character, type the character code, press ALT, and then press X. For example, to type a dollar symbol ($), type 0024, press ALT, and then press X. For more Unicode character codes, see Unicode character code charts by script.
Unicode allows for 17 planes, each of 65,536 possible characters (or 'code points'). This gives a total of 1,114,112 possible characters.
UTF-8 is a compromise character encoding that can be as compact as ASCII (if the file is just plain English text) but can also contain any Unicode characters (with some increase in file size). UTF stands for Unicode Transformation Format. The '8' means it uses 8-bit blocks to represent a character.

The Unicode Transformation Format (UTF) is a character encoding format which is able to encode all the possible character code points in Unicode. The most prolific is UTF-8, which is a variable-length encoding and uses 8-bit code units, designed for backwards compatibility with ASCII encoding.
ANSI can be many things, most being 8 bit character sets in this regard (like code page 1252 under Windows). Perhaps you were thinking of ASCII which is 7-bit and a proper subset of UTF-8. I.e. any valid ASCII stream is also a valid UTF-8 stream.
